RE:Company Branding (Styling)

If you have a script file, you have two primary options for adding it to your site:

  • Host it externally (e.g. on your existing non-KK site) and use the Site Map Inspector's Scripts panel to add an external script reference.
  • Import it as an internal script by opening the Scripts panel, clicking Import Script, and using the file browser to locate and select the file. A new internal script will be created with the same name as your file.

(I've attached images showing the interface elements needed to achieve these outcomes).

Whichever method you use, you can then use the Master Page -> Meta Tags -> Scripts tab to assign the resource to your master page and publish it.

If this doesn't work for some reason, please let me know.

Yep, sure I tried that or something close to it but didn't work.

Can you point me in the direction of help on how to include script into a model.  I have created a GVA.js file and have tried various ways of including this in the web page taht is produced - adding a reference in the masterpage, putting tick against the file name in Masterpage, Meta Tags Scripts without success.  Can you give me a clue?

Thanks

David

RE:Company Branding (Styling)

Good morning David,

The IMAGE() tag will return the URL of your image asset, so to display the image itself you'll need to wrap the tag in html img tags, e.g.

<img src="<%# IMAGE(YourImageAssetName) %>" alt="YourImageAssetName" />

A quick way of deploying images with the correct syntax is to click the Show Assets button in the editor toolbar, then scroll down the list of assets until you find the one you need. Clicking it will place the asset (with img tags) at your cursor position.

That should fix this, but please let me know if not so we can investigate further.

Kind regards.
